I think it’s going to be ok! It’s actually confusing me out how not freaked out I am about it. But I’m pretty sure I can get it fixed, and I can just play it without the resonator until then. Now if it had arrived with the neck...

Watchok here are some chords idk. My mom just got home and said she wants to take a bunch of pictures of the damage and file a complaint to try to get the shipping insurance (I guess?). So hopefully that happens so I can have the money to go get the resonator repaired.

RIGHT? THAT’S KIND OF HOW I FEEL. Except just this morning I was thinking to myself how nice it was that, despite everyone else in my family having their rage on/off switch on a dang hair-trigger, I usually am able to take things in stride and remain calm. This broken banjo is damaging my calm.

ok so my banjo is here but
The resonator is busted off and cracked. :(
Ugggghhh, whyyyyyyy. UPS and the person who packaged it, A PLAGUE ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES. I think I might be able to fix it to get the screws back in and the resonator back on by myself though? And the crack… the crack sucks but it’s not huge and only goes through the outer rim and not the back so I don’t think it’ll be that big...

I picked this book up at the library the other day and I’ve started working through it… on guitar. I tuned my smaller and crappier guitar (why do I even have more than one?) to match a banjo (except the 5th string is low instead of high, obviously). Good idea or no?
